The engineering expertise of our Italian R&D team led by Alessio Casolla, combined with German precision at our headquarters in Bavaria, reflects our deep passion for the sport of paragliding and for flight itself. Our goal is to expand our European production in Croatia to not only ensure the highest quality but also to further promote sustainability and social responsibility.

Our future lies in the philosophy behind the new D‑LITE Series – where anything is possible. Lightweight, compact, versatile, and still fully usable everyday – SWING D‑LITE stands for freedom and adventure. No unnecessary compromises, just you and what really counts: the pure joy of flying.
Combined with continuous development of RAST technology and the goal of offering maximum control in every situation, every flight becomes a true “Delight” – an unforgettable experience.

The SWING team is also preparing for the future: step by step, our specialists have taken over key responsibilities and are bringing fresh new ideas to the table, while CEO Günther Wörl transitions into the role of mentor, offering guidance with his expertise – the best of both worlds, and a perfect setup for the future!

By relocating part of our production to Croatia, we made a clear statement in favor of short supply chains and strict quality control – Made in Europe became a cornerstone of our company philosophy.

In 2015, together with Michael Nessler, we developed RAST – Ram Air Section Technology – a patented innovation that stands for “Maximum control in every situation.” Since then, RAST has been a core feature of our models and this unique technology has earned the trust of pilots worldwide.

Feedback from many successful and experienced pilots confirms the benefit: the wing behaves more stably and is easier to control – especially in turbulent conditions.

We opened a modern headquarters in Bavaria and a production facility in Ukraine. With the move to Landsberied and the launch of our own manufacturing in Ukraine, we laid the foundation for our growth. In this phase, we not only produced paragliders but also expanded our know-how into the sailing sector.

“Paraglider for boats” – Parasailor
We applied our paraglider construction expertise to the sailing world as well. In 2004, we founded ISTEC AG and developed the Parasailor – a patented sail with an integrated paraglider profile for boats, offering more stability and easier handling. A clear sign that our innovations are making waves not only in the air but also on the water.

Pioneer in Speedflying & Speedriding
After Speedriding emerged as a new sport in France in 2005, we released our first miniwing in 2007. Over the following years, with models like the Spitfire and Mirage, we helped shape the sport sustainably. Our SWING Speedflying Team and R&D team further revolutionized the scene – leaving a lasting mark.

In the late 1980s, we were among the first manufacturers dedicated to paraglider production. We took a bold step into what was then a young and unexplored industry.

Günther Wörl, an avid pilot and test flyer, played a key role in building SWING in Germany. Together with flight schools, pioneers, and experienced pilots, we developed a paraglider model that would revolutionize the sport: the Arcus was born.

Arcus – a glider that made history
The Arcus shaped an entire generation of pilots and became the trusted partner for countless first flights. It made flying easier, safer, and more accessible to the masses. Its impact continues today: no other model has sold more in the paragliding world, and many successful pilots began their careers with an Arcus. A true milestone – and the beginning of a success story.

It all started in a small sail-making workshop in Switzerland, where high-quality sails were made under the name “SWISS WING.” But our true passion was for the air – for the dream of free flight. From this passion, SWING was born – a name rooted in our origins and representing a new era in paragliding.

From day one, our goal was clear: to develop paragliding, make it safer, and enable everyone to experience the freedom of flight. Our background in sail-making influenced every detail – from the precision in manufacturing to the perfect balance of safety and performance. This tradition of craftsmanship and innovation continues to define our wings to this day – because for us, flying is more than just a sport. It’s a way of life.
