STELLAR RS
…fly above and beyond!
2.5-Liner | high EN/LTF-B | AR: 5,8 | Cells: 57 | Semi-Light from 3,7 kg
The development of the Stellar RS had one goal: To create an exceptional High B-wing that combines the best of two classes.
For this ambitious endeavour, our designer Alessio Casolla drew upon his extensive experience of 2-liner technology from the C-class.
Equipped with the canopy structure of our Libra RS and a proven 2-liner profile, the Stellar RS targets XC specialists with the highest performance demands. So that you are still able to take full advantage of the reliability and flight comfort of the B-class while you’re chasing those kilometres, we used our popular Nyos 2 RS as a reference during extensive flight testing in this respect.
The result:
The Stellar RS combines the performance of the Libra RS with the reliability of the Nyos 2 RS and, through its sprightliness and speed, has its very own character. The weight-reduced yet durable design extends the range of use and ensures that you will enjoy your Stellar RS for a long time.
Who is the STELLAR RS for?
We recommend the Stellar RS primarily for ambitious cross-country hunters and hike & fly adventurers who like to be on the move in X-Alps style. However, experienced intermediate pilots without ambitious goals will have fun with the Stellar RS too.

What Maurizio Bottegal says – SWING R&D
From the very first moment, the Stellar RS delivers a genuine wow experience! The moment you lay it out, the canopy impresses with its elegant and pleasing design. Thanks to the well known de-power effect of the RAST system, launching is controlled and effortless, even in stronger winds. In flight, the Stellar RS reveals its true potential, fully utilising the new profile. It glides far and fast. The smooth pitch control using the B/C bridge, combined with the effective and energy-saving speed system, makes flying along the cloud street a thrilling experience. In turbulence, thanks to the RAST system the canopy stability is extremely reassuring with a high level of feedback and control. When landing, the Stellar RS allows for an extensive flare, normally the preserve of high-performance wings. For us, flying the Stellar RS means performance, fun, and control up to the very last second!
Reviews and test reports
Swing has hit a home run with the Stellar RS. The wing offers the advantages of the RAST system without depriving the pilot of a fine feel for the air masses. With its 2.5-liner layout, efficient BC control, and high projected aspect ratio, it performs at the top end of the current High-B wings, inviting pilots to enjoy fast XC flights. It’s certainly not an entry- level B-class wing, but the pilot demands are not much higher than those of the Nyos 2 RS. In direct comparison with other 2.5-liners in this class that I have tested (UP Summit X and Apco Nestra light), I would say the Stellar RS offers the most accessible sportiness. As a high-performance semi-lightweight wing with good launch characteristics, the Stellar RS is a great choice for hike-and-fly adventures, as long as the smallest pack size isn’t crucial. The efficient climbing and high tracking stability in weak, shifting thermals also make the Stellar RS interesting for flatland flying. […read the original Article]
