The Zillertal Battle is a PG format in which every thermal pilot can compete with the best pilots in the scene with the same equipment. The flight mode is similar to other competitions, but only gliders up to max. EN-B may be flown.

The route to be flown will of course depend on the weather, but the turning points will be set in such a way that most of the route will be visible from the Bruggerstube landing site. The length of the course will also be chosen so that amateur pilots can complete it. The starting field is limited to a maximum of 80 pilots.
