What a season: Tim Huber becomes German Champion on the SPHERA 2 RS

The 2025/26 season of the German Cross-Country Championship in the DHV-XC has drawn to a close, and what our pilots have delivered is nothing short of outstanding.

Compared with many other brands, SWING accounts for only a relatively small share of the 3,557 pilots in the field, and the top places are contested by a wide range of manufacturers. That makes these results all the more remarkable. Our pilots are right at the front in virtually every major ranking.

Leading the way: Tim Huber on the SPHERA 2 RS

Tim didn’t just win the Sport Class. Flying the SPHERA 2 RS, he also came out on top in the overall ranking with 1,746 points, ahead of the entire field. Congratulations, Tim!

And then there’s Didi Siglbauer on the STELLAR RS

🥇 1st place Standard Class, for the third time in a row
🥉 3rd place Overall

Dietmar “Didi” Siglbauer flew to an incredible 3rd place overall in the German Championship, and he did it on an EN-B wing, his STELLAR RS. Congratulations, Didi!

Three SWING pilots in the overall top 10!

Tim, Didi and Lorenz Pischinger are the only pilots in the overall top 10 flying Sport or Standard Class wings. And that in a field dominated by Performance Class gliders.

Our congratulations also go to:

🥈 Lorenz Pischinger, who finishes 2nd in the Sport Class and 8th overall on the LIBRA RS.
🥉 Eberhard Linckh, who takes 3rd place in the Standard Class on the STELLAR RS.
🥇 Matthias Wehrle, who wins the FAI triangle ranking of the German Southwest Cup GS after a season full of spectacular flights on the SPHERA 2 RS.
